Rachel Frische
Rachel is a proud mom of three boys, including an AES third grader! As your 2026–2027 PTA President, she's excited to use her organizational superpowers to help make PTA events, communication, and involvement more accessible for all families- especially busy working parents. When she's not cheering on her kids, Rachel is a physician, medical private practice owner, and adjunct clinical professor at UNC-Chapel Hill. She looks forward to helping every AES family feel connected, informed, and welcomed.

Kristen has a son in fourth grade at Apex Elementary and a 4 year old daughter. She worked in Finance for 18 years, and is currently the Controller at William Peace University. She was looking for ways to be more involved at Apex Elementary and this seemed like a natural way for her to volunteer due to her professional background.

Mercedes is a proud mom to Penny (4th grade) and Aiden (7th grade). Their family also includesBrownie, the sweet dog who thinks she’s in charge! Mercedes works in research at UNC and isan avid Tar Heel fan. She has loved volunteering as a Room Mom and serving on schoolcommittees, and she’s excited for another great year filled with fun, learning, and community.
