Founding Counsellors

Shuang H. is an experienced and passionate Toastmaster who has been actively involved with Toastmasters International since 2013. Over the years, he has demonstrated outstanding leadership, mentorship, and commitment to personal and professional growth through communication and public speaking.

Shuang has served in various club and district leadership roles. He was President of the Oakville The Moment Toastmasters Club, where he fostered a supportive environment that helped members grow in confidence and skill. At the district level, he served as Area 41 Director and Division C Director in District 86 during the 2023–2024 term, providing guidance and support to clubs across multiple areas.

Shuang has successfully completed both the Leadership Development and Influencing paths in the Toastmasters Pathways program, showcasing his dedication to continuous learning and effective leadership.

As a Gavel Club Counsellor, Shuang brings deep experience, empathy, and encouragement to young leaders. He is committed to empowering youth with the tools and mindset needed to become confident communicators and future changemakers.

Lily W. DTM is an energetic and dedicated Toastmaster who has been passionately contributing to Toastmasters International with exceptional commitment to bilingual communication, leadership development, and community building.

Lily has held key leadership positions that demonstrate her vision and ability to inspire others. She served as President of the Miracle Chinese English Bilingual Toastmasters Club, where she created an inclusive and dynamic environment that empowered members to excel in both English and Chinese public speaking while building lasting confidence.

At the district level, Lily distinguished herself as Area 82 Director, 2022- 2023, offering strategic guidance, unwavering support, and innovative solutions to clubs under her stewardship, helping them achieve Distinguished status and fostering collaboration across the area.

As a newly certified Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), Lily exemplifies the highest standards of communication and leadership mastery within the Toastmasters program, having skillfully completed multiple Pathways and leadership projects that reflect her relentless pursuit of excellence.

In every role, Lily brings warmth, cultural insight, and a genuine passion for helping others shine—whether mentoring seasoned speakers or encouraging newcomers—making her an inspiring role model and a true asset to District and the global Toastmasters community.

Yang G. is a dynamic and visionary Toastmaster whose leadership and speaking prowess have significantly enriched bilingual communication and community spirit within Toastmasters International.

Yang previously served as President of the Miracle Chinese English Bilingual Toastmasters Club, where she led with passion, creativity, and inclusivity. She transformed the club into a thriving hub that empowered members to excel in public speaking in both Chinese and English while building deep cross-cultural friendships and confidence.

A gifted communicator, Yang earned the Third Place at Division D, the First place at the Area 82 Table Topics Speech Contest, captivating audiences with her quick wit, poise under pressure, and authentic delivery—an achievement that highlights her exceptional ability to think on her feet and inspire instantly.

With her infectious energy, cultural fluency, and heartfelt dedication to helping others shine, Yang remains a beloved mentor and role model, motivating Toastmasters of all levels to speak boldly, connect meaningfully, and lead with grace.
