In my free time, I enjoy welding sculptures of animals from discarded railroad parts and other scrap metal with my grandfather. Recently, I welded a sculpture modeled after an Alberta shorebird (such as the plover, sandpiper, killdeer, American avocet, and greater yellowlegs) - an animal that I find particularly interesting. These birds are long-bodied, excellent swimmers, and are adapted for underwater hunting.
It is my goal to capture the beauty of nature by welding sculptures of animals like the shorebird.
