1st Algebra and Number Theory Meeting at UERJ

27–29 October 2026 | Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

An International Meeting in Algebra, Number Theory, and Arithmetic Geometry

Celebrating the Birthday of Professor Amílcar Pacheco

Welcome to ANTM-UERJ 2026

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the First Algebra and Number Theory Meeting at UERJ (1st ANTM-UERJ), organized at the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science (IMEC), Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), Brazil, from October 27 to 29, 2026.

The meeting brings together mathematicians from Brazil and abroad to present research developments, exchange ideas, and discuss mathematical problems in algebra, number theory, arithmetic geometry, and related fields.

The scientific program features lectures by distinguished researchers from leading academic institutions, providing opportunities for stimulating discussions and the exchange of different mathematical perspectives.

The meeting will take place in a hybrid format. The first day, October 27, will be devoted to in-person activities at UERJ, including research lectures, poster presentations, short talks by young researchers, and a special birthday celebration. The following two days, October 28 and 29, will consist of online scientific sessions featuring invited speakers from Brazil and other countries.

This inaugural edition is especially meaningful as it celebrates the birthday of Professor Amílcar Pacheco, bringing together colleagues, collaborators, and friends for an occasion that combines mathematical research, scientific exchange, and personal celebration.

We warmly invite researchers, faculty members, graduate students, and all those interested in algebra and number theory to participate in this special event.
