What is Anti-racist Advocacy and Action?

We are a group of CU Denver faculty, staff, and community members embracing shared values of community, commitment, and reflexivity. We are  committed to de-centering whiteness and dismantling white supremacy across the all aspects of the CU Denver community. We are a "working group", in all senses of that word, and our meetings focus on specific actions needed to facilitate change.

How do I get involved?

We welcome all members of the CU Denver community who want to work in support of this group's goals and values. Please review the statement of goals and values before deciding to whether to get involved. As noted in the values statement, this group is not about performative allyship—we hope that all those who join will do so ready to do the work of anti-racism.

After you have reviewed the goals and values, please email antiracistadvocacyaction@gmail.com and indicate your interest in attending the upcoming meeting.

How do I get involved in one of the working groups?

Attending one of the meetings is a good place to start, as we will try to make space to all new faces and find out what efforts you'd like to work on. You may also email antiracistadvocacyaction@gmail.com to indicate your interest in a specific working group.
