Rules

Objective: Design and build your own quad-copter (with minimal supervision), and outperform other teams in areas of design, navigation, control and speed.

Rules:

  1. All participants must fill out an IWCC & Google Waiver & Release form and bring it with them to the Games.
  2. All student participants must fill out a student registration form.
  3. Each team sponsor/teacher must fill out a team registration form.
  4. Teams may consist of a maximum of 7 students and 2 sponsors/teachers. Each school may only have 1 team. The event is limited to the first 20 teams. If there are openings after the registration closes, a school may register a second team.
  5. Each team will be provided with the parts to build one quadcopter, except the body/frame. Each team will receive a $30 to purchase materials to fabricate a frame. Purchased, pre-manufactured body/frames are not permitted.
  6. Each team must meet Anti-Gravity Games Milestone #3 in order to participate in the event on Saturday, April 28st.
  7. Each quad-copter must pass a pre-flight inspection to ensure that it may operate safely and that no unapproved modifications have been made. The Anti-Gravity Games Judges may disqualify any entry that, in their opinion, does not comply with the competition rules or is deemed unsafe to operate.
  8. Each team will have two flights - the best flight time will be used. A flight is official if any part of the quad leaves the ground under its own power.
  9. Judges and/or Anti-Gravity committee members may disqualify any team on the grounds of failure to practice or observe safety measures (published or unpublished) poor sportsmanship, or failure to abide by judge or Anti-Gravity Games committee member instructions.
  10. Judges have final say for the award of prizes. There is no appeal process.
