Anti-Gravity Games 2019 - Pre-work milestones prior to the games

Thank you for participating in the 2019 Anti-Gravity Games, hosted by Iowa Western Community College and Google! The Anti-Gravity Games have been very successful over the past several years, and students and teachers alike have given us a lot of positive feedback We love planning and hosting this event!

To ensure that everyone has a rewarding day at the Anti-Gravity Games, we have created a series of milestones that teams should meet during the run-up to the event. Teams must reach each milestone by the assigned date. Each milestone that you reach will earn early points for your team toward the final competition. (Note: If you skip Milestone 3 but submit Milestone 4, you will receive points for both Milestones 3 and 4.)

Failure to meet Milestone 3 can result in disqualification prior to the actual event. Late submissions will result in a reduced score.

Milestone 1 (10 Weeks Before Event)

Submit picture to antigravitygames@google.com showing that you have all your parts and are ready to start the build! Due by: February 17th

Milestone 2 (8 Weeks Before Event)

Submit picture to antigravitygames@google.com showing that you have designed the body of the quadcopter and are making progress on the final quadcopter design. Due by: March 3nd

Milestone 3 (3 Weeks Before Event)

Submit VIDEO to YouTube and share a link with antigravitygames@google.com showing that you are capable of flying your quadcopter. A simple takeoff and landing will suffice, but so will early submission of Milestone 4. Due by: April 7th

Milestone 4 (1 Week Before Event)

Submit VIDEO to YouTube and share a link with antigravitygames@google.com showing that you can fly your quadcopter through an obstacle of your choice: under a table, around a tree, etc. Surprise us! Due by: April 21th
