Anti-Gravity Games

Attend a workshop to get your questions answered!

March 30th 9a - 12p at Iowa Western Community College, Dodge Hall Atrium

April 6th 9a - 12p at Iowa Western Community College, Dodge Hall Atrium

The annual Anti-Gravity Games brings area high school students together for a day of discovery and excitement! Teams of students design, build fly their own quad-copter through an obstacle course and compete for a $5,000 grant. The event is a collaboration of Iowa Western Community College and Google with an aim to increase student awareness of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields of study.

In conjunction with the competition, we will host "Geek Street" a highly interactive, hands-on exhibition, which showcases interactive activities and experiments from Google and community partners to inspire the tech entrepreneurs of tomorrow in STEM fields. During the afternoon, there will be a high-altitude balloon launch and speed-copter race. The event is free and open to the public.
