Within each unique summer copy, I chose to have the text cut into each story (using color and font weights as reader entry points), which allowed the photos of each person to be larger and draw the reader’s attention to the photo and story side-by-side. I chose to make the dominant photo black and white on Edward Halbert while partially cutting out his elbow to contrast his story from the dominant story on Crisol Guzman-Corral. The pull-out quote on the dominant story helped me build a nice balance of levels of white space so that each package could stand on its own aesthetically.
