Hello! I'm Anthony Mayberry — an economist who builds the analytical infrastructure that large organizations use to make their highest-stakes decisions.
I've led economic functions at Amazon and Walmart, where I designed the forecasting systems, causal frameworks, and labor market intelligence that executives rely on to set wages, allocate capital, and navigate macroeconomic uncertainty across global operations. My work sits at the intersection of applied econometrics, machine learning, and strategic decision-making — turning rigorous economic thinking into tools that move at the speed of business.
I also maintain an active research agenda. My published and working papers span macroeconomic forecasting, labor economics, international sanctions, and defense economics, with work appearing in the Journal of Comparative Economics and Defence and Peace Economics. I'm currently building Project Prism, a probabilistic sub-national forecasting framework designed to give state and metro-level decision-makers the same quality of economic intelligence that national policymakers take for granted.
I'm interested in roles where economic leadership shapes corporate strategy —where the Chief Economist isn't a title on a press release but a seat at the table where resource allocation, market entry, pricing, and workforce decisions get made.
