I help people understand our changing communication environment and tell their stories so they can achieve their goals

So, what exactly does that mean?

My passion is helping people market themselves and their organizations, and communicate within their organizations, more effectively. In today's environment, that's more difficult than ever. I strive to make it a little less challenging by helping people demystify the tools, prioritize, craft their stories, identify and reach their target audiences, and effectively manage their time.

My skills include communication and marketing strategy, social media strategy (with a specific focus on LinkedIn), training, content marketing, productivity training and coaching, leadership training, writing, and public speaking.

  • Led the Asher Agency's team for multiple Top 5 clients, including Do it Best Corp, Indiana Tech, and Ivy Tech Community College

  • Helped develop and lead the agency's digital team

  • Mentored the next generation of Asher leadership, including quarterly one-on-one meetings with several key staff members

  • Helped two colleges--including Indiana's largest institution--set enrollment records

  • Lead a comprehensive brand perception research study for Indiana's largest college

  • Led Asher's work for a hospital client as it opened a new facility and sought to change outdated perceptions

  • Conducted a communication and audit and developed a marketing plan for a large nonprofit

  • Launched/hosted the Asher Agency Marketing Podcast to solidify relationships with clients and connect with prospects

  • Provided peer training in LinkedIn for business development

  • Represented the agency as a resource to the media and via speaking engagements

  • Developed and delivered a leadership training series for MedPro Group, a Berkshire Hathaway company

  • In collaboration with a local university, developed and delivered the region's first social media professional certificate course, which has been attended by more than 100 graduates to date

  • Developed and delivered customer service training for Revel System's Lithuania-based agents

  • Presented customer engagement strategies to Ingenio's customer service team

  • Provided ongoing marketing and social media services and training for multiple professional services providers, including attorneys, financial advisors, and realtors

  • Delivered a TEDx presentation

  • Presented at multiple national and international conferences on topics including social media, LinkedIn, and branding

  • Wrote a monthly column about marketing, communication, and social media for Greater Fort Business Weekly since 2010

  • Member of the Fort Wayne Trails board of directors, 2016-present; board chair 2020-21

    • Led the search committee for the current executive director

  • Member of the Indiana Tech Board of Trustees, 2018-present

    • Enrollment Management and Marketing Committee chair, 2019-present

  • Member of the Indiana Tech Alumni Board of Directors, 2015-present

    • Received the Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award, 2018

  • Past member of the Indiana Tech Strategic Plan Task Force, Manchester University Employer Advisory Board, and Passages, Inc.; United Way of Allen County; and YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne boards of directors

  • Completed 5 marathons, 2003-2008

  • Completed two master's degrees

  • Skydived and zip-lined, despite a considerable fear of heights

  • Most importantly, I'm a dad to a great son
