Special Thanks

Thank you very much for trusting me to represent Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta after the rigorous selection process. 

It really means a great deal to me. I am also grateful for the preparation sessions conducted before our departure to the Philippines. Those moments really helped us understand our responsibilities as SEA Teacher participants and prepared us both mentally and academically. I also really appreciate how the team always monitored our progress during the program, making sure we were safe and ready to face every challenge. Whenever we needed help, you were always there to guide us. 

Thank you for believing in us. 

Thank you to the wonderful teachers at Capiz State University, especially Dr. Mary Grace B. Galagate, Dr. Susan A. Diosalan, Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin and our Focal Person. From the very first day we arrived in Roxas, you greeted us with a lot of warmth, which made us feel right at home right away, even though we were far from our own place. You took great care of us throug the whole program. Your help with adjusting to the environment, guiding us through the activities, organizing our schedule, and always keeping everything running smoothly meant a lot to us. Because all of you, every part of this SEA Teacher journey felt easier and more fun to experience.

Thank you for opening your campus, your time, and your hearts to us. CAPSU Roxas will always hold a special place in my memories because of the wonderful people behind it.

Thank you for being with me and Zahra through our entire time in Roxas. An exceptional coordinator who is always on-call to provide assistance.  I still remember the time when you weren't feeling good, but you still made an effort to be with us during the cultural immersion activities. You showed us a lot of places in Roxas and helped us see the city's beauty. 

Thankyou Ma'am, you have to know that moments will forever be remembered by me. Thank you for your kindness and care! 

Thank you for always checking on me and making sure that my accommodation and daily needs were comfortable. Your kindness may seem like small gestures, but for someone who was living far away from home, it truly meant so much to me. You were always thoughtful enough to ask how I was doing and whether there was anything I needed. That simple care made me feel supported and never alone during my time in the Philippines. Knowing that someone was looking after us gave me a sense of comfort and peace while adapting to a new place, new culture, and new environment..

Because of your genuine care the Philippines never felt like a foreign place to me.  Instead, it slowly started to feel like a second home.

Thank you for being my second mother when I was in the Philippines.

You were more than just my cooperating teacher; you were someone who really helped and encouraged me every step of the way during my teaching experience. You took the time to help me learn how the teaching system works, reviewed my lesson plans, and carefully walked me through each revision. I gained a lot of knowledge from you Ma'am, not just about teaching but also about what it means to be a committed educator. I will always remember how kind and patient you were...

Thank you for always being by my side during this journey. Honestly, you two are like teleporting people! Every time we called you, somehow you were always there! You never made me and Zahra feel alone. Thank you for accompanying us everywhere.. going to the market, exploring places, and creating so many beautiful memories together.  

Trust me, this experience would not be the same without both of you!

Thank you for keeping your promise to be there for me. Even though you were busy with your own activities, you still made time to visit and spend moments together. I never expected that I would find another family here in the Philippines. Our memories from Indonesia are now continued with new memories in Capiz. I still remember telling you that one day I would come back as a SEA Teacher participant… and I did!!

To all my fellow SEA Teacher participants, thank you for sharing this incredible journey with me. 

We came from different places, different universities, and different backgrounds, but somehow this program brought us together and connected us like a small family. What made this journey even more special was not only the program itself, but the people who walked through it together! Thank you for the friendship, the memories that we built together during this journey. Even though this program has ended and we already return to our own paths, the bond and the memories will always stay..

This program will never be the same without 11 of you!
