Graduate Assistant | Social Media Manager| WKU Department of Folk Studies and Anthropology

Fall 2016 - Spring 2018. Bowling Green, KY.

As Social Media Manager for the WKU Folk Studies social media platforms, I produced content calendars to keep our social media on schedule, as well as the accounts’ graphic content and publicity material. Additionally, I supported the Department’s website relaunch by updating website add-ons and ensuring the correct information has been transferred.

As a program assistant I helped facilitate programs which focused on the maritime history and folk culture of Long Island, NY. Lead Volunteer | Smithsonian Folklife Festival

Summer 2016. Washington D,C.

While working on the Smithsonian’s Folklife Festival, I served as coordinator of the Family Activities Tent. I both planned and executed programming for the millions of visitors which the festival received. During the festival, I was responsible for coordinating the schedules of the interns and volunteers who were working. Additionally, I ensured the participants, many of whom did not speak English, arrived at their scheduled performances on time. Each activity was created (in multiple age appropriate versions) to educate children about the culture of the Basque people.
