at thredUP, I was a member of their compact Brand Team within the Integrated Marketing division. My role the management of thredUP's online community across its diverse social channels, as well as managing the Ambassador Program. On a daily basis, my responsibilities involved engaging with our dedicated thrifters by actively interacting with their social media posts while upholding thredUP's distinctive brand voice. Moreover, on a weekly basis, I collaborated with thredUP's Thrift the Look to curate and select trendsetting outfits styled by thrifters in our social community. These selected outfits were then recreated with the assistance of Lili AI, an innovative technology, organizing and showcasing secondhand merchandise available on thredUP's website for purchase.
Furthermore, I took charge of the Ambassador Program, assuming responsibility for its onboarding process, the primary contact email, and the inaugural Ambassador Activation Program at thredUP. This activation initiative aimed to provide comprehensive support to our college-student ambassadors nationwide, empowering them to orchestrate their individual events on campus. These events were strategically designed to promote the adoption of secondhand choices, particularly during the Back to School season – a period synonymous with heightened fast-fashion consumption. The overarching objective of this campaign was to inspire a shift in Back to School shopping patterns, initiating meaningful dialogues across the U.S. about the merits of thrifted fashion.
Collaborating closely with my manager, our joint efforts resulted in the successful creation and facilitation of over 20 event activations hosted on university campuses across the United States, all endorsed and backed by thredUP. These events encompassed a diverse range of activities, from clothing swaps to the launch of fashion zines, as well as the establishment of upcycled thredUP finds pop-up shops.
