If I had to name my favorite thing to do outside of class, it would be playing games. Ever since I played Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES when I was little, gaming has had a huge impact on me. I've had so many great experiences and adventures thanks to games, and every year continues to surprise me. Some of the series I've been into lately are: Monster Hunter, Splatoon, Resident Evil, and Pokemon.
Video games also inspired me at a very young age to make (and sometimes animate) pixelated characters and art of my own. Working in such a low resolution is very calming for me, as in a way it's like a puzzle I have to solve: how do I convey what I want with only a limited amount of space and pixels? That's what I get to find out for myself while I make any given piece.
More recently, I've been trying my hand at digital art when there's something I want to make that needs more detail or shape than what I can accomplish in pixel art. The freedom of digital art can often be quite daunting compared to pixel art though. Too many possibilities! Even so, I've a lot of fun drawing digitally.
Even though I've been kind of on an anime break lately, there are still many shows near and dear to my heart, including (but not limited to): Hunter x Hunter, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Kaiji, Dorohedoro, Mob Psycho 100, Konosuba, Beastars, Madoka Magica, and Re: Zero.
