I am an international education professional and scholar, currently serving as Head of International Networks at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. In this role, I oversee the global strategic partnerships of Germany’s largest university. My work is situated at the intersection of strategy, diplomacy, and management, combining scholarly expertise with hands-on experience in university leadership, teaching, and administration.
Previously, I was a postdoctoral scholar at Technical University Berlin. I received my PhD (Dr. rer. pol.) from the Hertie School in Berlin, hold an MA in International Education from New York University, and completed the First State Examination for Secondary School Teaching (1. Staatsexamen für Gymnasiallehramt) at LMU Munich.
I explore university internationalization through the lens of the nation state and public policy. More broadly, my research focuses on interest groups in education policy, the governance of the knowledge economy, policy transfer, and organizational change. My dissertation on higher education internationalization in the context of Brexit and COVID-19 was published with Springer.
