Watashi-go Portfolio : Australian Edition
The Watashi-go Portfolio is a learning resource to foster children's self-esteem and intercultural understanding.
The portfolio was first developed by the Germany-based Team Motto Tsunagu (“Further Connections”).
Their “Tsunagu” website (in Japanese and German only) is here .
The Watashi-go (literally, “Me-Language”; language of self-expression, or self-curated language) Portfolio is a logbook for parents and children working together to develop language competencies in the home environment. The three-part portfolio is designed to be easily accessible for parents and their children. The resource is also adaptable for use by Japanese language groups and classes.
For a detailed description and guide to using the portfolio (in Japanese and German only), visit the Watashi-go no hiroba (わたし語の広場) page on the Tsunagu website, here.
Watashi-go Portfolio: Australian Edition was created by Australian Network for Japanese as Community Language (ANJCL), supported by The Japan Foundation Sydney.
Watashi-go Portfolio: Australian Edition has been supplemented with simple English translations to make it easier for non-Japanese speakers to use.
