Time to perform your composition! Remember: don't tell us what it is. Just play/perform your piece and then let us try and guess based on your musical choices. After you are finished, we'll try to guess the animal and then you can read your animal story that goes with your musical composition.
FEEDBACK AND ASSESSMENT
Write down the following as you listen and watch the performance:
1. What animal do you think this is?
2. What words would you use to describe the animal that you hear?
3. What elements of music do you hear that support your opinion?
After the performance is over and the animal is revealed, answer the following questions:
1. Did the student use 3-5 descriptive sentences for their animal?
2. Did the student include nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs in their writing?
3. Did the student make musical composition choices that communicated their animal and descriptions?
