Ensembles

In the summer/fall, the entire AHS band program combines to form the Angola Marching Hornets, performing at parades and community events; they present a competitive show at football games as well as ISSMA and BOA competitions.

After marching season, winds and percussion students perform in concert ensembles at festivals throughout the area, ISSMA contest, and three AHS concerts.

The Jazz Band rehearses as a spring semester class. The band performs at local jazz festivals and MSD elementary schools, and the semester culminates in "All That Jazz."

The color guard is the strongest visual component to the marching band, and in the winter they form the AHS Winter Guard, which performs at IHSCGA competitions, along with concerts and performances at MSD schools.

Made up of all winds and percussion students in the band program, the pep band performs at many home basketball games, as well as regular school pep sessions and activities.

Percussion performance opportunities include the spring Percussion Concert, as well as Angola Indoor Percussion in the winter. AIP performs at IPA and WGI competitions, along with concerts and performances at MSD schools.
