Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, is dedicated to scholarship and excellence in education.
The International Honor Society of Kappa Delta Pi elects those into membership who exhibit the ideals of scholarship, high personal standards, and promise in teaching.
Be enrolled in an institution offering an education degree and have the intent to continue academically and professionally in the field of education;
Demonstrate leadership attributes and commitment to equity;
Have completed at least 36 credits of collegiate course work;
Have at least 6 credit hours in education course work programmed, in progress, or completed;
Demonstrate a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater and
Receive an invitation to membership from the chapter.
Have graduate standing in an institution offering an education degree and have the intent to continue academically and professionally in the field of education;
Demonstrate leadership attributes and commitment to equity;
Have completed at least 6 credit hours of graduate course work at Angelo State;
Have at least 12 credit hours in education course work programmed, in progress, or completed; and
Demonstrate a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for all graduate course work completed.

Attend scheduled initiation
Complete online registration that will be sent to your ASU email after you attend the mandatory initiation and pay KDP Headquarter dues

If you are an officer you receive your cord for free.
If you participate in at least six events before graduation you will receive a free cord
If you do not attend at least six events before graduation you may purchase a graduation cord from the counselor Leah Carruth.
*You will receive your honor cord at an honor cord ceremony the day before Spring/Fall graduation.
