INFP Personality
INFP Personality
My personality type is INFP (Introversion, Intuition, Feeling, Perception)
I am an introvert that likes to find the answers of the world within myself as I try to understand things before I approach them. Intuition gives me a metaphorical sixth sense where I naturally read between the lines trying to find the meaning in everything that I encounter, and I completely value my imagination and innovation as it brings out my creative side. I tend to lean more towards my feelings rather than my thoughts because I am an overly emotional person that makes decisions on what I feel is right and how my actions could affect others. As a perceiver, I like adapting to new situations because it gives me a sense of having my options open and being spontaneous rather than focusing on a strict schedule of how I should organize my life. I am an idealist that is always on the search for the meaning of life. For others and myself, I am interested in growth and interpretation as a way of trying to reach one's full potential.
INFPs have “the ability to express themselves and their ideas in creative and personal ways (Tieger, Barron, & Tieger, 2014)." I create original products that can express myself whether it is through writing, music, or art pieces. My intuitive type uses imagination and innovation to bring out my creative side. As an artist, I have functional skills that incorporate crafting, sewing, and sculpting.

INFPs “work with others to help them grow and develop their human potential. INFPs can be truly noble in their desire and efforts to improve the quality of life for others (Tieger, Barron, & Tieger, 2014)." With my background in Psychology, I am wanting to obtain a Master's in Social Work because of my field placement and current position as a case manager. I would bend over backwards while motivating the clients that I work for because my empathic views truly get the best of me. With working with a marginalized population, I have seen extreme potential and motivation to obtain a better quality of life, so I want to be involved in others reaching their full potential. I would be able to use my communication skills and form a safe place for clients.
