Research
My research lies in the field of applied algebraic geometry. Currently I have projects on Chemical Reaction Networks, Computer Vision, and Phylogenetics.

A note about my research in Computer Vision appeared in the Newsletter of the Institute of Mathematics of UPC-BarcelonaTech. It appears on the section "Research focus" and it is called Multiview varieties: a bridge between Algebraic Geometry and Computer Vision. It can be found here.
Together with Beatriz Pascual-Escudero we wrote a paper called Herramientas algebraicas y combinatorias para el estudio de sistemas dinámicos polinomiales for the Gaceta de la RSME. It is an introductory paper about the use of algebraic and combinatoric tools to study polynomial systems of ODEs. The paper is in spanish.
I contributed with a science communication paper to the special edition for women in math of the colombian journal Paskín Matemático. You can check this special edition here. The article is in spanish and is called Geometría algebraica y triangulación de líneas en visión artificial.
Together with Fabien Pazuki, Markus Hausmann, Malte Leip and Laurent Betermin we have written notes for the course Topics in mathematics for the traveling student. The course was created to give students at the University of Copenhagen the opportunity to take classes in different languages before they go on exchange to another institution. The course has tracks in Spanish, German and French. A first edition of the notes can be found here.
