I am an assistant professor at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. Previously, I held postdoctoral positions at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences, at the Centre de Recerca Matemática, and at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
I finished my PhD in the research group MBIO (Mathematics of Chemical Reaction Networks) of the University of Copenhagen under the supervision of Elisenda Feliu.
My background is in Applied Algebraic Geometry and I am interested in problems related to data analysis. I have projects in applications from Life Sciences and Artificial Inteligence.
The science communication paper Multiestacionariedad e inyectividad: Un enfoque desde la geometría algebraica written by Astrid Liliana Contreras as a product of the EMALCA School Geometría Algebraica Aplicada en Colombia, is now published in the Paskín Matemático. The paper is in Spanish and can be found here.
