Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)
Outreach definitely has been a highlight of SHPE. Interacting with younger students interested in STEM is such a rewarding time and makes me feel like I can have an impact on local high-schoolers. As a representative of SHPE, I have gotten to volunteer in Admitted Student Days and Pre-College Visits through the Diversity Affairs Office. I also have had the pleasure of visiting high-schoolers to encourage students in attending the free summer engineering programs available through the College of Engineering. I have really enjoyed growing in the SHPE community this year and look forward to what next year has in store.

WISCIENCE Impact Peer Leaders and STEM Immersion
STEM Immersion is a specialized orientation for incoming underrepresented minorities and first-generation students in STEM. As peer leaders, we introduce incoming students to the resources available and show them the ins-and-outs of the university. Through STEM Immersion, we hope that the first-year students find their STEM identities and have a sense of belonging in their major and the university as a whole. As a STEM Immersion Coordinator, I had the pleasure of organizing the 2020 program, making sure that the new students have a fun and engaging experience even in an online setting.

University of Wisconsin - Madison Diversity Forum: HerStory Panel
I was invited to speak at the 2020 Diversity Forum HerStory Panel hosted by the Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement. This panel focused on the challenges and successes of women of color in STEM fields. The goal was to provide a safe space where we could share our story, embrace our success, discuss the inequalities we have endured, while also providing insight for allies to improve the current system in higher education and beyond. University of California, Berkeley Empowering Womxn of Color Conference
I attended the 2021 Empowering Womxn of Color Conference hosted by the University of California, Berkeley. This conference focused on the safety, preservation, and nourishment within ourselves and between communities so we may continue to exist, resist, and thrive. Now more than ever we divest from compartmentalizing struggles and move toward the deconstruction of structural oppression that especially targets BIPOC womxn.
