Welcome! I am Angela Beltran-Aguilar. I have taught math at MiraCosta College for 15 years. Online teaching and learning is an area that I have always been interested in. I have taught math online for a few years and most recently served as the chair of the Online Task Force for the math department.
There are many areas of my online teaching that I want to improve on. Therefore, when the opportunity to take sabbatical leave came up, I decided to focus on online teaching and learning.
Before taking classes with @ONE, I hadn't participated in any formal training to teach online. However, I love to teach and to learn so I am always exchanging math online teaching ideas with my colleagues. I also like to explore and learn on my own which has provided me with a good toolbox of instructional tech tools. Most recently, I facilitated a training on using an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to write, record, caption, and share math lecture videos.
