The SlapStick

The SlapStick is a patented electric tuned percussion instrument invented and produced by Andy Graham's company, Slaperoo Percussion.

Using industrial steel banding as a 'string', the SlapStick is played like a drum, yet can sound like a stringed instrument, particularly a slap bass.

Precision holes drilled along the side of the body mark where the frets would be (semitones) if it were a stringed instrument.

Debuted at the NAMM Show in 2011, the SlapStick has received several rewards and attention from professional musicians including Stevie Wonder, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Doug Wimbish, and many others.

The versitile design has even been made into a walking stick for Dr. Lonnie Smith.
