This section builds off the knowledge from part design, with new tools such as the joint tools, motion link and contact setting. Unlike Solidworks, fusion 360 can model multiple parts in the same file. This allowed me to design parts in the same assembly file.
A personal project of mine was to model a medical device, a bone conduction hearing device. I used rough measurements to create the housing and the extrude/fillet tool to model the body of the device.
For my electric screwdriver project, a planetary gear is used to decrease the speed and increase the torque from the motor to driven shaft. To model the planetary gear I used the spur gear script to model the ring, sun and planet gears.

For my first year Engineering Design CAD assignment, I was tasked to model 23 parts and assemble a Stirling engine using engineering drawing in Solidworks. To develop my skills in another CAD software I redid my assignment in Fusion 360.

A steering joint was modelled to be used in our mars rover project. To transfer the movement of one leg, the steering rod is jointed to the legs of the rover and displacer. The ball joint is connected to allows movement in the x, y and z axis.

To model the case, I used the extrude and fillet tool. The lid was created using a project tool, making the lid and body appear seamless. with the cut tool being used to make the pinhole. For this assembly, I enabled all contact, leading to me having to create gaps for the parts to move.
