I was born in Coimbra, Portugal (home of the 7th oldest university in the world) and also have close ties with nearby Figueira da Foz (home of Europe's largest urban beach).

Alongside my career as an economist, I am a world traveler and have visited over 70 countries. Next: Italy and India (regular stops for many years), and Chile afterwards.
