I am a Principal Economist at the Federal Reserve Board. My research focuses on financial intermediation, access to finance and financial literacy, and corporate finance. My papers have been published in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Review of Economics and Statistics, were presented at the NBER, AFA, WFA, SFS Cavalcade, FIRS, and EFA, and have been widely cited in speeches by central bank governors and in the media, including by The Economist, Washington Post, New York Times, Financial Times, Bloomberg, CNN, and CNBC.

Jun 2026: the paper "The Impact of Financial Literacy: Evidence from a Randomized Trial Linked to Administrative Data" was accepted for presentation at the 2027 AFA Annual Meeting. It also won the Best Non-Profit Adult Education Project at the 2025 Money Awareness and Inclusion Awards (MAIA).
May 2026: new version of the paper "Who Pays For Your Rewards? Redistribution in the Credit Card Market". Our work was recently featured in The Economist and in the New York Times, among others.
