Documentation

The first month of my work was to write documentation and set up the google site for the entire team.

My tasks were to rationalize the discussions pitched during the prototype phase, offering a clear and coherent visions of all the elements of the game.

I took care of tasks such as the definition of Core and Game Loops, while providing the design of mechanics, game overall structure and the work planning to modularize the game.

Level Design

I was responsible to create a “common vocabulary” in order to create levels for our project.

I defined elements such as camera settings, boundaries and the rules that would have been followed during level creation.

I used several tools, from UE5 to Blender, to test and show other members my proposals.

I wrote documentation for UE5 Cube Grid Editor used to create levels, instructing other designers on how properly use it during the development.

Character system design

I was responsible of creating a framework that could help us creating abstract classes for our characters, resulting in a coherent vision throughout various modules that could have been added.

Giving each character a role, and a way to interact with the environment ensured that each character had a leading role, following our pillars.

UI / UX

I provided a Flowchart of the menus navigation of the game, providing the assets needed.

I then created both Lo-fi and Hi-fi Mockups for all the interfaces in the game using Figma, which I then used to create a fully functional prototype.

I wrote documentation to fully exploit Figma’s components and therefore being able to quickly change assets from wireframe to final version.

Therefore, the work in Figma also included the study of each element’s property and subdivision in sub-assets.

During the production phase, I followed the entire development of the UI, working on both the design and the art.
