I was born and raised in Sonoma, California. I went to Sonoma Valley High School and I am a first generation college student! Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outside and am always willing to try a new outdoor activity. I love camping and going to the lake. But I absolutely love the beach and sunsets. I am a huge Disney fan and go to Disneyland at least once a year. I have probably been 25 times over my lifetime!
I have grown up in a very family orientated household. We are each other's biggest supporters! My little sister has looked up to me for everything, which has inspired me to work hard and set a good example. I want my sister to have a role model that she can look up to. Having the responsibility of setting the pathway for someone else has encouraged me to keep going even when times get hard. I am proud to be an older sister and I hope that I inspire her just as much as she inspires me.
Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a nurse, but that dream truly solidified once I understood the deeper meaning of what it means to be a nurse. I’ve always been drawn to children and found myself naturally connecting with them in any setting. During my early teen years, I came across the Busby family, who were featured on a television show documenting their journey raising quintuplets. Watching their story unfold, especially their time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), had a profound impact on me.
What stood out most was the incredible bond between the NICU nurses and the family. The mother often spoke with deep gratitude and admiration for the compassionate care the nurses provided. That was the moment I knew I wanted to become a NICU nurse—to not only care for the tiniest patients but also to support their families during such a vulnerable time. My passion for working with infants and children has always been a part of who I am, and I believe NICU nursing is where I can make the greatest difference. I hope to create a positive, supportive, and comforting environment for both babies and their families, showing them just how deeply I care.
