Day 7 - the white sand beach "Bharatpur beach"

On day 7, we had breakfast and left for the most beautiful beach on the island "Bharatpur Beach". It was a clear light blue sea. Additionally its shallow, so you can just walk far into the sea.

This place is great with lots of water sports. We took a glass bottom boat tour. We were lucky to have a good sun to see the corals & fishes clearly. Also during this time the water was shallow, so we could see the sea bed clearly. This was our 2nd coral viewing experience after Red Skin Island. This place was more about the marine animals than the corals. The corals here were not that great, may be because of the lack of protection that was there in Red Skin Island. This place had much more varieties of fishes and marine animals.

After that we enjoyed swimming, chilling into water for next 3-4hrs. The water here is so silent that you can just sit at peace in water. This beach again has most of the basic amenities needed like the changing rooms, showers, food etc.

You need to be early here to enjoy the water. By 11:30 the water would start getting warmer & because of the low tide the water recedes. The water would then comeback up only in the evening. All photos were taken around 8:30 - 9 AM. This the best time to get there. But ask the local guide or hotel manager. They would be able to guide as per the season.

By 11, we were completely drained. So tiered that it was difficult to pull our-selves. But eventually our ride came and we went back to the hotel rooms. After we reached hotel, we had a lot of food and then a good afternoon nap. You need to eat a lot after a good hard water session. It was after a long time that we had such relaxing time.

Evening was again a new adventure. We went to the Sitapur Beach, almost deserted rock beach. Fairly untouched, so a lot of animals and sea life can be seen between the rocks. We had a nice cool time at the location. But as it was deserted, its not suggested to be there long.

As we had sometime left, we went back to Lakshimpur beach 2, to have another shot at the sunset. Today it looked more promising. The sun was shining bright with hardly any clouds in the sky.

But we were fooled, the distant horizon was cloudy. The last 15 minutes, which is supposed to be the best part of the sunset where the sun kisses the sea and the sea slowly gobbles the fire ball, was what was destroyed.

However never the less, we had a greatly relaxing day. Another cool evening with a heartily meal. A much needed relaxing day before we started on our way back to Indian mainland and to our daily life.
