Alrededor de mata Ortiz tenemos dos tipos de barro rojo, estos barros con muy difíciles de hacer ya que se tiene que hacer a base de mediad o de partes iguales en los barros, si no se tiene conocimiento de las mediadas de cómo hacerlo es muy probable que en el secado y mayormente en la quemada se quiebren o se agrieten.

Around Mata Ortiz we have two types of red clay. These red clays are very difficult to work by themselves. We always have to mix the red clay with another type of clay. If we dont mix the red clay with another type of clay the pottery will crack during the firing process.
