The site is a credible reference and learning destination for knowledge seekers, especially those looking for maps, facts, and figures about Geography & History. The site offers abundant resources to K-12 teachers and the academic community. For a traveler, MOW is a go-to place for preliminary research on where to go and what to see. The site is anything but armchair journalism. Travel module is a collection of first-hand experiences and shares deep insights missed by those who go for touch and feel and cursory look.
In 2021, MapsofWorld.com was acquired by MapSherpa Inc., based in Ottawa, Canada. MapSherpa is committed to continuing to build on the years of work that have made MOW the successful map-based information portal that it is today. We look forward to bringing our visitors the opportunity to explore the large collection of maps and content represented by MapSherpa's map content and publishing partners such as National Geographic, TomTom, Ordnance Survey and many more.
I'm not able to say that the page is completely reliable but I believe that if one of their partners National Geographic we can trust in it.

The psychologist Jerome Bruner proposed Discovery Teaching in the middle of the 20th century by suggesting that knowing is a process distinct from simply accumulating the wisdom of science in textbooks. He suggested that all learners are problem solvers who interact with the natural world to test ideas and propose patterns through personal discovery (Hassard & Dias, 2009).
