WARM UP / ACTIVATION (5 minutes)
Classroom Routine: “Hello, hello” song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVlcKp3bWH8 . Then T will elicit the date and weather and write it on the board.
COMPREHENSION & CLARIFICATION (10 minutes)
T. will read the story which was read the previous weeks about Sarah’s birthday. T. will stick a poster on the board. T. will point at it according to the story and will show what food every animal likes.
Story:
Today is Sarah’s birthday and there is a picnic near the river. She invites some special friends: the bird, the rabbit, the parrot, the cat, the dog, the turtle, the hamster and the fish.
One by one, her friends arrive at the place. “Happy birthday dear Sarah!” they say.
“Thank you my friends!” she answers. “Here, we’ve got lots of delicious food to eat and drink,” Sarah says.
“I like biscuits” the bird says.
“Do you like eggs?” Sarah asks the bird.
“Mmmm! Yes, I like eggs!” the bird answers.
“Do you like carrots?” she asks the bird.
“No, I don’t like carrots,” the bird answers.
“I like carrots,” the rabbit shouts
“Do you like grapes?” Sarah asks the rabbit.
“Mmmm! Yes, I like grapes!” the rabbit answers.
“Do you like strawberries?” she asks the rabbit.
“No, I don’t like strawberries,” the rabbit answers.
“I like strawberries,” the parrot shouts.
“Do you like sandwiches?” Sarah asks the parrot.
“Mmmm! Yes, I like sandwiches!” the parrot answers.
“Do you like milk?” she asks the parrot.
“No, I don’t like milk,” the parrot answers.
“I like milk!” the cat shouts.
“Do you like milkshake?” Sarah asks the cat.
“Mmmm! Yes, I like milkshake!” the cat answers.
“Do you like cheese?” she asks the cat.
“No, I don’t like cheese,” the cat answers.
“I like cheese,” the hamster shouts.
“Do you like juice?” Sarah asks the hamster.
“Yes, I like juice!” the hamster answers.
“Do you like bread?” she asks the hamster.
“No, I don’t like bread,” the hamster answers.
Sarah is very happy because she is celebrating her birthday with her best friends but, her friends are sad because they don’t have a cake for Sarah. And what´s more, the dog, the turtle and the fish are not there!!!!!!!!
Suddenly, they see the dog and the turtle coming far away. They are walking very slowly, because the turtle can´t walk fast. They are shouting loudly: “Wait for us. Wait for us!”
The turtle has something on its back but Sarah and her friends can´t see it.
“What has the turtle got on its back?” they answer one another.
They are surprised when they see …….AN ENORMOUS BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!!!!! Sarah has her birthday cake now!!!! They light the candles and sing the happy birthday song to Sarah while the fish jumps out off the water and sends lots of kisses to Sarah.
“I like cakes! Sarah says, “I like birthday cakes a lot!!!!!
This is a happy, happy, happy birthday for Sarah!!!!!!!

Pre-description: Popplet
The teacher will introduce the tool "Popplet" to the students and she will show them a tutorial on how to use the tool to create their own mindmaps. After going through the tutorial students will be asked to create their own mind map about the foods they like. The title of the Popplet will be "I like". Volunteers will share to the class the food they like.
REFLECTION
T. will ask Ss. to clap their hands when they hear expressions which express likes.
