The rescheduled date for the Scholarship Dinner will be Monday, June 8, 2026, 6PM
ANNOUNCEMENT Posted Tuesday, May 26, 2026
Due to the current chemical incident in Garden Grove, and because six AUHSD schools as well as four of our scholarship awardees fall within the evacuation zone boundaries, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this Thursday’s Scholarship Awards Dinner.
Although there have been great strides toward clearing the situation and resolving the issue, we would rather proceed with caution and wait until the chemical incident has been fully resolved before bringing our students, families, and community members together.
This decision was not made lightly. The safety and well-being of our students, families, guests, and community members remain our highest priority. We want to ensure that everyone who planned to attend is able to remain safely at home during this time and that, when we do gather, we can fully enjoy celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of our scholarship recipients together.
At this time, a rescheduled date is still to be determined. We will announce a new date as soon as our community is no longer affected and it is safe for everyone to come together again. We sincerely appreciate your understanding, flexibility, and continued support of our students and schools.
Although the celebration is being postponed, scholarship awards themselves are not being delayed. Students who have submitted the required materials will continue to receive their awards according to the instructions they were previously provided.
Thank you again for your ongoing partnership, encouragement, and commitment to supporting the students and families of our community. We look forward to celebrating these outstanding students with you soon.
