Be a part of an organization that makes a difference through volunteer programs addressing the needs of the Latino community. You'll also be a part of a national network of community activities protecting civil rights in the areas of immigration, social services, education and economic opportunity at local, state and national levels.
Received grants totaling $80,000 since 20II from the Ford Driving Dreams Grant from the Ford Fund and for Anaheim High School, Independent Learning Center.
Received $5,000 Conexiones technology grant from T-Mobile/National LULAC to keep students at Gilbert High School safe on the internet.
Wrote a resolution to establish a Mexican American Heritage and Culture Center (MAHCC in Orange County. Established a 501c3 non-profit to establish a Facebook page and cultural activities.
Supported annual "Relay for Life: in supporting the American Cancer Society fundraising. . Participated in the "United Contra el Cancer del Seno" with the Susan G. Komen Advisory Committee.
Established a "Cafecitos HOPE" breast cancer support group that meets monthly for Latinas.
LULAC is the largest and oldest Hispanic organization in the United States. LULAC advances the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health and civil rights of Hispanic Americans through community-based programs operating at more than 1,000 LULAC councils nationwide.
