Ash Wednesday School Mass Marks the Beginning of Lent for AIS
The Saranay hall was filled with reflection as students, parents, and staff gathered together for the Ash Wednesday Mass, officially marking the start of the Lenten season.
The service, held in the Saranay hall, was a time of prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal as the school community entered this solemn period of the Church calendar.
Msgr. Samuel Baruela presided over the Mass, delivering a thought-provoking homily that focused on the themes of Ash Wednesday inviting us to reflect on our lives: almsgiving, abstinence, and prayer.
As is tradition, students and staff received the imposition of ashes, a reminder of their mortality and a symbol of penance.
The Ash Wednesday Mass not only serves as a spiritual beginning but also brings the entire school together to reflect on shared values of faith, community, and service. With the start of Lent, the school community looks forward to a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, each student striving to live out the message of love and sacrifice that lies at the heart of the season.
The Ash Wednesday service, while a somber occasion, is a vital reminder of the importance of faith in everyday life and the opportunity for spiritual renewal.
SENIORS SHINE AT SARANAY HALL CELEBRATING AIS' FIRST EVER SENIORS' BALL
The senior class of 2025 gathered for their Senior Ball, held in the AIS Saranay Hall. The event was a resounding success, with students, staff, parents and faculty coming together to celebrate the achievements and contributions of the graduating class.
The Seniors' Ball was a formal affair, with students dressed in their finest attire, dresses, and heels. The atmosphere was electric, with music playing and laughter filling the air as students mingled and took photos.
This event is a fitting way to celebrate their hard work and dedication to their studies.
"Be consistent and adaptable. Your future is yet promising and yet, I can't wait to witness it",said Mrs. Eliza Beth E. Arciaga, the guest speaker of the event.
"This is an amazing way to cap off our high school experience," said Jasmine Ariola, a member of the senior class.
"I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful group of friends and such supportive teachers"she added.
The Seniors' Ball is a chance for seniors to come together one last time before graduation, and to celebrate the memories they've made during their time at the school.
"I'm going to miss this place so much," said Ashley Millare. "But I'm excited to see what the future holds for us."
The Seniors' Ball was made possible by the hard work of the student council and faculty members, who worked tirelessly to plan and execute the event. It was a true team effort, and everyone involved came together to make it a success.
As the Senior Ball came to a close, students and staff alike reflected on the memories they'd made and the friendships they'd formed. It was a day that would be remembered for years to come, and one that would be cherished by the class of 2025 forever.
