OFFICIAL: The first female referee to start the men's World Cup finals

FIFA has announced that female referee Stephanie Frappart will be the referee in the match between Germany and Cosa Rica.

Female Referee Stephanie Frappart

With the referee of the match between Germany and Costa Rica, Stephanie Frappart went down in history as the first female referee to start a match in the Men's World Cup final. This is also the first time an all-female referee team controls a match at the Men's World Cup.
