Français: Ce video est une montage sonore dans un cafe. Le audio est d'une femme qui entre dans un café un peu bruyant, elle s'assoie, commande un café, le mélange avec une cuillère, elle le sent et le boit. Elle donne une "tip" puis sort par la porte. Il est censé reproduire le son d'un café générique dans la vraie vie et je l'ai fait comme s'il s'agissait d'une petite scène dans un film.

English: This video is a sound montage in a cafe. The audio is about a woman walking into a noisy cafe, sitting down, ordering a coffee, mixing it with a spoon, smelling it, and drinking it. She gives a tip then goes out the door. It is meant to replicate the sound of a generic cafe in real life and I made it as if it were made to be a small scene in a film.

English: This video is an audio montage of the Colonization of Canada. The music and the sound are meant to be in a movie (not in an actual movie,, but as if it were made to be in one because this is what I'd imagine the movie would sound like)

This project is supposed to be about everyday familiar acts and life.

I wanted to have this layered video, whereas multiple videos play at the same time and more and more clips show up on the screen and all the videos are centered and closed-up so it makes it seem overwhelming. What I want the video to show, because it’s relating to the everyday things in life, is how many things we have to do in our everyday lives and how all these tasks in our lives just keep growing and at times it can become overwhelming. The thought of the day and all of it can be a lot, and this is represented with the video because it originally starts with one video being played, then a second and then more and more videos are added. You don’t know where to look (as well as think).

All the videos go in a specific order, and then revert halfway through to the simple first video to sort of loop. It brings all these overwhelming activities, thoughts or feelings all back to one video that starts the everyday life.

True Taco Storefront Slideshow

I made this video/slideshow for the True Taco Restaurant on Saturday August 6th to demonstrate some of the food that they offer. This video was more of a practice for me, and to figure out the format in which I wanted to do this project.
