Amsterdam Museum Tours

Aesthetics and History

Welcome to my Museum Tour website. I am a tour guide with 20+ years experience. On this website you can read more about tours in the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. I mostly guide the tours myself, but occasionally ask one of my excellent colleagues to conduct one.

To book a tour is very simple. You can read more info here and book via online form or by sending an email to museumtouramsterdam@gmail.com indicating the date, time, tour and group size.

Via my blog you can learn more about some unique parts of these art collections in Amsterdam.

Google review of Tours @ Van Gogh Museum & Rijksmuseum Amsterdam by Shilpi Joshi★★★★★ "My visit to the Rijksmuseum became truly unforgettable thanks to our incredible guide Ewald. He had a rare gift for bringing every artwork and artifact to life, explaining each piece with both depth and clarity. What stood out most was his profound knowledge of South Asian artefacts — he didn’t just describe them, he illuminated their history, cultural significance, and beauty in a way that made them resonate deeply with me. His passion for art and history was contagious, and he created an experience that felt personal and meaningful rather than just a museum tour. I left the museum not only with beautiful memories but also with a greater appreciation for the stories behind the collections I would highly recommend him to everyone."
