Welcome to my webpage.  My name is Ewald and I am an enthusiast about art, travel and ancient stories.  I first studied art history in a higher vocation education for tourism.  After graduating in 2002, I started working as a Tour Guide on adventures tours around the globe, like camping safaris in East Africa and sleeping in hammocks in the Brazilian Amazon. 

Curiosity and the desire to do something useful brought me back to Amsterdam, where I gratuated cum laude for my Master degree in International Development studies.  During these studies, I worked as a general Tour Guide in and around Amsterdam and my favorite tours to guide were those in the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum.  

After graduating and working a few years for NGOs, I continued as a self-employed guide specialized into these two renowned art museums. For 20+ years I have given 5-star rated guiding service on tours via travel agents. You can google "Tripadvisor Ewald Guide Rijksmuseum" (or Van Gogh Museum) to see a read of them. 

I enjoyed the freedom to only guide the tours. But during the last few years I noticed that my style and knowledge had grown into a unique product that can very well be offered indepedently.
