Why is my dashboard empty or showing dashes?
Ample reads data from Apple Health. If you just installed Ample, denied Health access, or have little history in the Health app, some tiles may be empty until data exists. Open Settings → Health Permissions (or Data & Privacy → Health Permissions) and allow the types you want Ample to use. You can also add sample data in the Health app to see how charts fill in.
Why don’t my numbers match Apple Health exactly?
Ample uses Apple Health as its source, but it may show daily totals, rolling averages, or scoring windows that differ slightly from a single Health category screen. Sleep is attributed to the wake day. Active calories follow Apple’s Move ring logic where applicable. If something looks clearly wrong, email us with screenshots from both Ample and Apple Health.
Why is Readiness different from my Health Score?
Health Score reflects broader recent health signals across available pillars. Readiness is a today-focused recovery and load signal (sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, recent activity). They answer different questions by design.
I don’t wear an Apple Watch / I don’t track sleep. Is Ample still useful?
Yes. Ample adapts when data is limited: unavailable inputs are excluded or clearly labeled rather than faked. During onboarding and in Settings → Data → Devices & Tracking you can indicate what you track so the dashboard matches your setup.
How do I log weight or hydration?
Use the relevant dashboard tile or entry flow. Data is written to Apple Health when you grant write permission. On Apple Watch, you can log water and weight from the watch app; entries sync through Apple Health and iPhone.
How does the Apple Watch app work?
The watch shows Health Score, Readiness, goals, and quick logging. When your iPhone is available, the watch prefers the same snapshot as your phone so numbers stay aligned. If the phone hasn’t updated recently, the watch may show slightly older data until the next sync.
How do Home Screen widgets work?
Add widgets from the iOS widget gallery. Ample updates widgets when the main app refreshes health data. Some widgets require Ample Plus; free widgets include Health Score, Readiness, and a single goal widget.
How does iCloud work?
Optional iCloud sync backs up your Ample profile, goals, layout, achievements, and related app data to your personal iCloud account—not to Ample servers. If you reinstall or get a new device, you may be offered a restore when Ample data is found in iCloud. Apple Health data itself is managed by Apple; enable iCloud → Health on your devices for the strongest Health history protection.
How do I export my data?
Settings → Data → Export Health Data. You can export the last 30, 90, or 365 days as CSV or PDF from data Ample reads in Apple Health.
How do I delete my Ample data?
Settings → Data & Privacy → Clear Data. You can reset this iPhone only or delete everything including the iCloud backup, with clear confirmations before anything is removed. This does not delete your Apple Health history unless you remove it separately in the Health app.
I’m having trouble with Ample Plus or Founding Member status
Open Settings → Membership and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID used to buy. If status still looks wrong, email us with your Apple ID email (not your password) and a screenshot of Settings → Membership.
