Want to learn about advanced scientific concepts and how to conduct research under professional scientists? 

We host undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in learning about science and research techniques in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. 

Focus areas of the internship program include: 

-marine debris removal and data reporting
-microbial ecology & microscopy
-reef fish and invertebrate population surveys
-coral health assessments and outplanting
-diver and snorkeler impact assessments
-basic seamanship skills
-citizen science
-grant writing & research permit applications
-science communication and social media outreach
