Inner-View
My interactive film. Because the theaters are closed and we cannot meet in the way we used to, I invite you to my room.
You're welcome to join me, while I am interviewing myself. The type of interviews you have with yourself when you have too much (or finally enough) time with yourself, alone in a room, with no option to escape to the outside world.
You will control in which direction this interview will go.
You will choose which questions will be asked.
The film has been selected and won in some International films festivals such as AVDP (ATHENS), Serbest International Film Festival (Moldova), International Moving Film Festival (Abadan), and DANCE CAMERA PANDEMANIA (Istanbul).
As a reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic, the lockdowns, and the audience-performers relationship that felt like is almost gone, I created this interactive dance film. A dance film that gives the audience the responsibility and the ability to choose what they want to happen. Each person that will watch it will see completely different scenes, perhaps more related to what they are willing to watch. With this film, I hope to find a sense of risk and liveness I tend to feel also when I watch live dance and to offer an alternative way to share a dance in a pandemic and in general.
In order to create my film, I learned how to edit interactive videos, I built a script with possible pathways, rented a camera, microphone, found a cameraman, composers, and performers that joined my film. I didn’t have any financial support, so in order to raise money and be able to finish my film, I opened crowdfunding and raise with it the money for this production.
