Golabz is a virtual platform where teachers around the world can create their own Inquiry Learning Spaces (ILSs), and use the other’s ILS for their courses.

Golalz lets create the ILS with the content Textual content, Videos, Simulations etc. It can be embedded with any available resource like youtube videos, Khan academy videos, Any online simulator.

One can simply use google ID or facebook ID to login to golabz, I have created my ILS for electrical engineering, the name of the topic is “Full Wave rectifier”

While creating ILS golab divide ILS into 7 sections,

1. Orientation:-

Teacher can talk brief about the ILS like Objectives of ILS, Introduction to Topic, and COntext of Content

2. Conceptualization :-

Teacher can add the working principle of concept we he want to explain.

Teacher can add self recorded, already available videos, images which helps to conceptualise, animations into this section.

3. Investigation:-

Whatever is talked about in conceptualisation can be tested with the help of a virtual lab available. For my ILS I have used an online simulation which lets user to check the variance in current and voltage in rectifier circuit.

4. Conclusion:-

Teacher can simply draw out the summary of what the simulation or virtual lab and what can is learnt through this ILS

5. Discussion

Teacher can create the discussion forum where focused questions can be added and peer learning can happen by debating, or commenting on each other comments

6. Student Dashboard, and 7. Teacher Dashboards are an integral part of ILS but teachers can hide them as per will. These dashboards helps teacher how their students are performing in their ILS

4. Any video, image, animation and simulation can be embedded into it.

5. Students can practise their learning in virtual lab provided by ILS creator.

6. Golabz provide Standalone view which lets your viewers practice the system without publishing it to Golab’s server.

Could Be better:-

1. Teachers can not create the sub-topics in spaces. They always have to create a new space in space

2. Space in space is not seen on main ILS which makes the index look disordered.

3. Publishing the ILS takes much more time and practically hard to edit the content and publish again
