On this page, you will find a few of the past Films/TV series I have completed, along with some links to check them out. The two main projects I will be talking about are a film I produced with a peer from university, called "10 ways to get over a breakup", and another project I helped out with as both lighting and co-head set designer.
Producing my first short film was such an exciting moment for me. It made me test my skills as a producer and as a team leader. This small but mighty production consisted of a team of six crew members and four cast members; the majority of the cast and crew were my peers from university, so we had to cram all our filming into our 1 week of mid-semester break. The film was everything I expected. Despite the challenges of tight deadlines and horrible weather, it was such a rewarding moment, and it's so enjoyable being on set with a bunch of friends. It was an incredible journey that not only strengthened my problem-solving and leadership skills but also reinforced my passion for film production.
What I loved most was collaborating with a group of talented creatives, both on the cast and crew. Working alongside them gave me valuable insights into other areas of media, and allowed me to appreciate all fields even more than I previously did.
This single experience created tunnel vision for my future; it's where I really tested my skills and found such enjoyment that I knew this would be one of my paths into a career. I am fully committed to pursuing a career in film production. The thrill of turning creative ideas into reality, managing a team, and watching a vision come to life on set is something I can’t wait to continue.

First Run was an RMITV student-run 8-episode series that broadcast live to air on Channel 31. Each episode was a standalone series, which gave writers a platform to share their story. We went live once a week which meant we had a week to plan and prep, and for the Set Design team (AKA my team and I) it was a lot of work, we had to sprint into action each week, as chaotic as it may seem, it was both fun and exciting and nerve racking, as the only rehearsals we had as a production was a short time before we went live.
Going live is absolutely different from pressing record and editing later. We had 1 take, and 1 take only. It taught me a lot about being punctual and collaborating with my team, not only within the lighting and set team but also the entire production. I am fortunate that I had a little experience with live-to-air productions from previous classes; it really did help me understand the expectations, but being on set is another feeling.
Ultimately, I am super proud of what we achieved on this production. For a bunch of students with little to no experience, we certainly pulled it off.
