Lesson Plan
Creating a Lesson Plan on the Four Major Types of Writing
Creating a lesson plan about the four major types of writing — Narrative, Expository, Descriptive, and Persuasive — was a fun and creative task for me as a future educator. I made this lesson plan for Grade 8 students, and I tried to make sure it was simple, clear, and interesting. I also made sure the content of my lesson plan matched with the actual discussion we had in class. It felt good to apply what I have learned and use it to make a useful and meaningful lesson.
This experience helped me become more creative in planning. I had to think about how to explain each type of writing in a way that students could easily understand. I used examples, simple activities, and short writing tasks that are appropriate for their level. I realized that teaching is not only about giving information, but also about connecting ideas in a way that students will enjoy and remember.
As a future teacher, I learned the importance of being well-prepared and making lessons student-friendly. This experience also helped me build confidence in designing lessons. Seeing my plan come together and imagining how it can be used in a real classroom gave me a sense of excitement for my future teaching career.
