April 20th through April 26th
A beautiful mountain view from the Kachemak Bay Campus as all of us SBB students crowd around tables, finishing posters and presentations.
Man, we've been busy-busy-busy!
If you asked me without this blog, I would guess I was somewhere in week four or five of this program. I'm still learning so much! But somehow, we're at the last week of content, and I'm preparing to move to New Mexico for the summer.
Much of Kachemak Bay is within a Critical Habitat Area, protecting and providing wildlife and ecosystems of many kinds.
I'm nearly complete with the NOAA NCCOS video for our internship (just adding the last bits of sound and re-recording my own interview so there's less wind) and I honestly cannot wait to share it with everyone. It's such a great reminder of why we all came here in the first place, and the wonders of studying natural sciences in one of the most pristine and wild places I've ever been.
Side note, if you would like to watch our presentations on May 1st and 2nd, let me know! I can forward the Zoom link as needed. Just use the Contact Me page and send me a message!
For now, I'm going to get back to wrapping up each and every project for finals... I'll update next week with more thoughts. Thanks for keeping up with my SBB experience!
