Extra Program
This year marked the exciting launch of our very own AMBA Skills Camp, and it was an absolute triumph! From start to finish, the energy was infectious—kids pushed their limits, forged new friendships, and made remarkable progress in their abilities. Throughout the week, we celebrated their achievements with awards for Camper of the Week, a Speedster Competition, and Bump Challenges. We’re already buzzing with anticipation to see these talented young athletes showcase their skills in our upcoming Fall AMBA League!
Extra Program
Each fall, AMBA proudly hosts a vibrant three-day camp in collaboration with Acadia Axemen basketball team. The team’s talented players and dedicated coaches ignite a passion for the game, encouraging our athletes to embrace the joy of basketball while building foundational ball-handling skills. The experience culminates with a special invitation—our athletes gather in the high school gym to witness the Axe-men thrilling scrimmage, sparking dreams and inspiring the next generation of players.
Extra Program
Throughout the year, AMBA invites Thunder Elite Skills and Fitness to our community to offer dynamic skills day camps, giving athletes the chance to elevate their game under the guidance of professional basketball player Doug Thomas. Doug imparts expert instruction in footwork and ball handling, but above all, he teaches that “harder work pays off.” His relentless encouragement and high expectations push each athlete to new heights—and time and again, they return, eager for the challenge and ready to grow.

Fall & Spring Program
Moving up to U10 is an exciting leap—it’s where we shift from building individual skills to learning how to come together as a team to achieve victory. At this level, players are introduced to foundational plays, defensive strategies, and the art of foul shooting, along with the essential rules of the game. If you’re new to basketball, don’t let any of this intimidate you! We group players by skill level so everyone can learn and grow at the same pace. This season marks a thrilling milestone: for the first time, we’ll have multiple regular U10 teams and launch our very first competitive team at this level. Step up, join in, and be part of something special as we learn, support one another, and play as one.

Fall & Spring Program
U12 marks the beginning of true competitiveness for our athletes, whether they’re part of the regular season squad or the competitive team—everyone comes ready to win. This stage takes us to new arenas, travelling across provinces, where we measure our skills against teams far and wide while forging lasting friendships with fellow athletes. Here, our players’ attitudes and leadership qualities are nurtured and put to the test, as we encourage them to show sportsmanship, hustle, and rise to positions where their unique talents make the greatest impact on the team.

Fall & Spring Program
U14 ushers in a transformative chapter, where athletes artfully juggle their AMBA commitments alongside a multitude of school sports. Many are experiencing the surge of their growth spurts, discovering newfound strength, agility, and potential within themselves. As they transition to the rigours of full-court press and the challenge of competing without fair play rules, they are called to rise—earning every minute on the court through determination, teamwork, and relentless spirit. This stage is not just about playing the game; it’s about growing—together and as individuals—into resilient, adaptable, and empowered athletes.

ATHLETES WANTED
U16 marks a remarkable stage in a basketball player’s journey—a time when young athletes truly come into their own. They’ve learned to work with their growing bodies, understand their strengths, and measure themselves against strong competitors. Every game and practice is an opportunity to climb higher, chasing new challenges and reaching for greater heights in the sport. As many step into high school, they may be the youngest on their teams, looking up to seasoned players. But with AMBA, they stand confidently alongside peers they’ve trained with for years, building on the foundation of trust, teamwork, and resilience. Here, each athlete finds their place, empowered to lead, to learn, and to dream bigger with every step on the court.
